Go to multiplayer and pick a map that has the warthog and the sword in it. Now have one person get in the warthog passenger seat and the other person stand by the person but in front. The person in the vehicle line the cursor on the other person and make it turn red.
Now use the sword you will hear the sound of a hit but nothing happened to your friend. Now your friend runs to the other end of the map and sits still. (the person in the jeep doesn't change weapons). Step out of the vehicle and you will fly. This my take a few tries to fly all the way from there to your friend.
