The Messiah Mod Chip for the Xbox is promoted as a solution for fans wanting to play imported games.
It promises to play the latest Xbox games from around the world,
thanks to a universal design that works on Xbox models from all regions (US, Japan and PAL consoles).
It has been reported that the brandnew Xbox messiah mod chip will boot all original import Xbox games and also all backups.

The new chip also has enhanced DVD functions. The DVD Region reset is enabled allowing any region's DVD playback kit to be used, thus allowing
multi-DVD region playback. The messiah Xbox mod chip also disables the Macrovision copy protection used on DVDs.
Unlike previous incarnations of the Messiah mod chip for the Playstation 2, or the other new Xbox mod chips, this new Xbox Messiah chip features comparatively simple
installation with only 11 wires. Techies and enthusiastic home programmers will be pleased to know that this chip can boot modified XBE's and custom code.
The Messiah Xbox mod chip also features automatic detection and switching of bios versions, which means that there is no need to extra configuration to make it work.
